Protecting all types of exhibits

Whether you need to protect a free-standing sculpture in the centre of a space or an artwork on the wall, the Surface Mounted Barrier adapts seamlessly between settings to provide a secure solution.

Centre Pompidou

Opening to the public on the 2nd February 1977, the Centre Pompidou rapidly became one of the most popular cultural venues in the world and one of the most visited monuments in France. Today the Centre Pompidou welcomes over 3.5 million visitors a year and plays host to the most inspiring modern and contemporary art exhibitions and collections.

Absolute Products in action

Whilst in Paris for SITEM 2020 we managed to squeeze in a quick visit to the Centre Pompidou and whilst exploring the various exhibitions were delighted to see our Surface Mounted Barrier in place, discreetly protecting many fantastic works.

The Surface Mounted Barrier

Our Surface Mounted Barrier Features many characteristics of our Freestanding Barrier in terms of its clean, unobtrusive design and use with our Elasticated Cord to create a boundary that blends with the architecture of the space, but is different in that it is fixed to the floor surface, making it slightly more robust and also offers a little more discretion thanks to the smaller base.
